What should I expect when I visit?
At Cornerstone, we want to “clear the way” for you to come to our church. We want to make you feel comfortable when you walk in the door and “make it easy” for you to experience the great music, the encouraging message, and the friendly people.
We truly understand that a “first time” visit to a church can be a little “nerve racking.” You always have questions like:
1. What should I wear?
2. How do I get there?
3. Where do I park?
4. How will I know where to go?
5. Am I going to be embarrassed?
6. What's available for my children?
OK.. Let's address those questions:
1. What should I wear?
We're a casual church. What that means is most of the folks attending do not wear Tuxedos, formal dresses, suit and tie, shorts, cut-offs or bathing suits. We wear our normal clothes like we'd wear if took our date out for dinner and a movie.
2. How do I get there?
On the front page of our website is a label that says “Directions.” Click on that and then. What comes up is a map for how to get there if you're familiar with Terrell. If you need explicit directions from your home, just click on the “Mapsco” and type in your home address. You'll receive directions and a map from your front door to ours.
3. Where do I park?
There's plenty of “good” parking for you. In fact, our folks have been planning on you attending and they have left the “best places in the parking lot” just for you.
4. How will I know where to go when we get there?
There will be some folks at the front door to greet you and make sure you're comfortable where everything is located----from the Nursery to the bathrooms to the Worship Center.
5. Am I going to be embarrassed?
Absolutely NOT! We're not going to ask you to stand up while we sit down. We're not going to ask you to sit down while we stand up. We're not going to ask you to raise your hand. All we're going to do is give you the opportunity to do what we do each week. We pass a little pad down each aisle and we all sign it. You're free to sign or not.
6. What's available for my children?
We've got a fantastic nursery for children up to three (3) years. Our greeters will show you where it's located. You'll be given a “number” and at anytime during the service we can call you if there is a need. For children Pre-K to 6th grade we've got Children's Church just designed for them. At one point during the service, our pastor will call them down front and then some of our capable workers will take them to their OWN CHURCH time.
