Our Elders

Nick Esch

Nick and his wife Rachel have three children (Jonah, Allie, and Isaiah). Nick has been serving at Cornerstone in various different roles for years. This is his home church—the one and only church he has ever been a part of. God saved him here, called him here, equipped him here, and put him to work here. After serving as an Associate Pastor here for a few years, and then serving as Interim Pastor for a few months, CBC called Nick to be their Senior Pastor in June of 2015.

Nick loves the Lord, loves the Word, loves his family, loves the church, and loves the lost. His desire is to glorify God by helping the gospel go deeper into people’s hearts and wider into the non-believing world so that people from every tribe, tongue and nation come to know, love, worship and enjoy Jesus.

Jesse Bass

Jesse and his wife Amy have two children (Faith and Micah). Jesse has been leading us in corporate praise and worship since 2012, and before that he was serving at Carroll Baptist Church in Southlake TX. Jesse currently serves as an Associate Pastor at Cornerstone, with a focus on whole-life worship.

Jesse’s desire for Cornerstone is that we would be: a community of people who use their entire lives to worship God the Father, through Jesus Christ, by the Holy Spirit; a people who strive to have an intimate relationship with the triune God, to be healthy members in the body of Christ (the church) and proclaim the gospel of Christ to those who are lost, with the intent of making disciples.

Gary and his wife Beth have three children (Kacie, Lynsie, and Mackenzie). Gary has been serving at Cornerstone for years in various roles such as deacon and Sunday school teacher. Gary currently serves as a lay Elder at Cornerstone.

Gary loves the Lord, loves his family, loves the church, and has a passion for preaching the Word and seeing men of the world become men of the cross.

Dennis Cheesman

denkris

Dennis and his wife Kristie have three children (Shawna, Areal, and Tiffany). Dennis and his family have been with us since 2015, but had previously been members for 12 years. Dennis has been serving for years in various roles such as deacon and Sunday school teacher. Dennis currently serves as a lay Elder at Cornerstone. His desire is to see not only the members at Cornerstone but the local community grow in their knowledge and understanding of who God is, what He has done and what our response as the church should be.

Dennis loves the Word, the Lord Jesus Christ, his family, and the church, and has a passion for the truth being proclaimed to the lost and seeing people understand the gospel message of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. His desire is for the members of Cornerstone to pursue Christ diligently by committing to regular study and teaching of the scripture and by living in true fellowship with others while becoming healthy church members who desire to see others grow and connect to God in a personal, intimate relationship.
