The mission of the church is to glorify God by spreading the gospel and making disciples of Christ among all the peoples of the world. The church does this by preaching the gospel, gathering disciples into the local church, helping those disciples grow in the gospel, planting churches centered on the gospel and equipping them to do the same. The mission is saturated with gospel purpose; therefore, we are a gospel-centered church seeking to proclaim, preserve, adorn, and advance the gospel in hopes that the glory of God in Christ would be treasured above all else among all peoples.
The word salvation in the Bible refers to many different things. Christian salvation includes: election, effectual calling, regeneration, conversion, justification, adoption, sanctification, preservation, and glorification. And the Bible also tells us that gospel is the power of God for salvation (Romans 1:16). And the great goal of salvation is that God’s people would treasure, enjoy, savor, or worship (we mean the same thing by all four of those terms) the glory of God in Christ forevermore. That’s why we are committed to being a gospel-centered church with a gospel-saturated mission. Our mission is a gospel mission.
